Why these workshops/seminars?

There are a number of skills everyone in a leadership, or supervisory position should have. The Leadership Processes and Skills Workshops are designed to sharpen those skills for some and develop them from zero for others.

Who should attend workshops?

The average age of the first-time supervisor is 32 years old. The average age of their first exposure to any leadership training and or education is 42 years old. Ten full years to learn the hard way how to become a skilled leader, and ten full years of potentially developing a reputation for not being very good at what you do and not seeing another promotion.

Leadership Behavior—Act Like One; Be One!  (One-day)

Leadership Behavior is a one-day, workshop. It focuses on the most important facet of leadership, being an example. The most noted expectation from those being led is to trust their leadership. This workshop is designed for those in leadership positions or aspiring to be in leadership positions, to work through how one goes about building trust.

  • Creating Heroes in the Workplace

Decision-making – There Is No Such Thing as a Perfect Decision! (One-day)

How many times have you gone looking for a decision and heard “…we need to table that decision,” or “we need more data?” The reality is most are not good at decision-making. They are deftly afraid of making the wrong decision. That fear paralyzes. Opportunities pass or disaster strikes while the search for the perfect decision continues.

Decision-making is a one-day workshop designed to build a leader’s confidence in the decision-making process.

Level Four Communications – Communicate Like Spock! (Half day)

Level Four Communications is a half-day workshop that goes beyond the expected “listen, mirror and rephrase.” This workshop is designed to have the participants develop the ability to see the picture in the other person’s mind, to feel what is being communicated.

Innovation – Being creative is a process! (Half-day)

Have you ever heard the lament “we need to hire a person who is innovative” or “we need to be more creative.” These statements imply that being innovative or creative is an inborn trait. Moreover, a trait that only a gifted few possess.

Innovation is a process. It is a process that exceptional leaders understand and use to the advantage of their organizations. Being creative is a half-day workshop is designed to make the participants familiar with the Innovation Process.

Creating Heroes in the Workplace (One-day)

What is the worst thing an employee can do for an employer? The answer to this question normally runs a range from poor performance to theft. Most organizations have corrective actions in place to address those responses.

What of the employee that does only their job? They do nothing more, nothing less. These are the employees that can recite their job descriptions as though they wrote them. Organizations from any industry or service need employees who get the job done. These are the employees that do what’s right with no one looking or standing over their shoulder. They are the Heroes!

This one-day workshop is dedicated to teaching supervisors how to create heroes in their organization.

  • Workshops are limited in size to a maximum of 25 participants. On a case-by-case basis, numbers can be adjusted.
