Valerie L. Bérubé is Fortitude Consulting’s lead Leadership and Strategy Development Facilitator.

Valerie has lead thousands of people in numerous, complex, and high-profile federal projects and programs valued up to four billion dollars., and often reportable to Congress.  Her high-profile projects include military land/airspace expansion, military ground robotics programs, and border barrier construction along the U.S. southern border.  She is a true expert in leading highly functioning, diverse, interdisciplinary teams, often in geographically dispersed locations, in fluid environments, while navigating sensitive political and legal complexities.

As a retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel and logistics officer, her background includes planning and directing the logistical support of major international exercises, deployments, and combat operations.  Her military experience groomed her as an expert in strategic planning and crisis management.

Valerie is a certified Project and Program Management Professional (PMP and PgMP) with the Project Management Institute.  She is a graduate of the Marine Corps’ Command and Staff College and holds a master’s degree in Leadership from Oklahoma University.  She is the author of “Polish Your Star – Three Minute Daily Lessons to Become an Extraordinary Leader” (Volumes One and Two), as well as a number of peer-reviewed articles.
