Rich Douglas, PhD, DSocSci, PCC
Rich Douglas has been creating outstanding business results for his clients for more than 30 years. Certified in coaching, talent development, and human resource management, Rich blends this expertise in building unique solutions for his clients in the private, public, military, and academic sectors.
A crucial element of Rich’s approach to leadership development is the use of learning, clashing ideas, and “hot” (real-world) experiences. These combine to not only develop his clients’ leadership competencies, but also their capacity to lead their organizations through VUCA—volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous—times. As a retired Air Force officer and senior manager in the Federal government, he’s led teams through many such situations.
Rich has extensive public- and private-sector experience in training, management and leadership, and delivering solutions for AT&T, Corrections Corporation of America, the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and others. A retired Air Force officer, Dr. Douglas has also been a faculty member for several universities. He holds a Master of Business Administration from National University, a Doctor of Philosophy from Union Institute and University (specializing in Nontraditional Higher Education), and a Doctor of Social Science (in Human Resource Development) from the University of Leicester. He also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designations. Rich resides in Tucson, Arizona, with his wife, Paula and their dog, Lucy.
