Brian Wood, ICF-ACC, ELI-MP
Originally from New Jersey, Brian Wood navigated his leadership, speaking, training, facilitating and executive coaching journey throughout the United States compliments of several relocations and thirty years in the corporate world. Brian held leadership positions at American Airlines and Waste Management during his corporate life and on several occasions managed crisis situations involving aircraft incidents and employee/civilian fatalities. These experiences left a lasting impression regarding the urgency for leaders to lead when they are needed most.
Combining his corporate experience with his perspective as an athlete, certified professional player agent (NBA, WNBA and FIBA) and a certified professional success coach, Brian provides clients with unique support and guidance toward the next level of greatness. Brian is enthusiastic about helping leaders find passion and leverage gifts to achieve their definition of success. He is committed to continuous personal and professional growth including organizational development and gamification.
Brian is the founder of MARS coaching and continues to support major corporations, professional sports
organizations and municipalities. He has the resources to accommodate organizations of any size including trainers, facilitators, coaches and a learning management system. He provides confidential, professional and discreet executive coaching, online learning resources, in-person and virtual learning and development in addition to leadership assessments, performance gap indicators with customized summaries and action plans.
Brian earned his BA in Communications from William Paterson University and earned his MBA in 2014 from the University of Phoenix. He is also a graduate of Valley Leadership Institute, class 32. Additional credentials include; ICF-ACC certified professional leadership coach through IPEC, certified as an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner, ELI-MP, certified Leadership Circle practitioner and a certified facilitator with Development Dimensions International.
Brian is on faculty at the Arizona State University (Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation) and the American Express Leadership Academy. He is a graduate of Valley Leadership Institute and previously served as Chairman of The Board for the Tempe Chamber of Commerce in Tempe, AZ.
Brian currently serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona. Brian is also on the Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Communications at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. He’s passionate about travel, adventure, family, faith and leading as much positive impact as humanly possible!
